TWST4Girls has been unwavering in our mission to unlock the potential of girls ages 11-17, empowering them to discover and achieve their goals. Through personalized 1:1 mentorship, comprehensive life skills development, college preparation, career exploration, and enriching international cultural experiences. TWST4Girls is dedicated to transforming lives.
Our Purpose
TWST’s purpose is to ensure that as youth apply the knowledge and skills acquired in our programs, they will make positive impacts on their family, our communities and ultimately the world in which we live!
TWST4Girls was established in 2014 and has since made a lasting impact by providing free programming for underserved children from communities in Houston and the surrounding areas. This includes life skills programs taught in the Houston Independent School District (HISD), Harris County’s Juvenile Justice Center in Downtown Houston, Harris County’s Juvenile Corrections Corrections Center, and multiple centers in Houston’s most underserved areas. TWST continues to strive for excellence and the mission to develop well-rounded youth with a sense of purpose and direction. To date, 100% of their students have graduated from high school and entered into the college of their choice.
Since establishment of TWST4Girls in 2014, TWST has provided well over 80,000 hours of service to the community. It is our goal to make bigger and bigger impacts with the help of volunteers and partners like you.
TWST4Girls was launched on the 24th of May 2014 with the goal of providing a safe space for girls to work on their craft, dreams, mental health and receive support from dedicated women professionals.
Through TWST's many outreach programs and services, we have served over 15.5 thousand children and families locally as well as internationally.
