International Service and Learning Program-Egypt 2020

TWST4Girls is extending our humanitarian work to the country of EGYPT with our International Service and Learning Program (ISL). During this service and learning trip, TWST youth will get a first-hand look into ancient Kemet, world affairs, cultural and educational experiences and visit the Nubian schools that we’ve adopted. TWST4Girls has adopted these schools because of their need for basic teaching and learning materials. Youth in TWST4Girls may be considered “underserved” for various reasons however, we at TWST instill a sense of self-growth and giving back to others.

The program consists of the following:

International School Supply Program (ISS) – TWST4Girls provides supplies and educational support to economically disadvantaged schools and villages.

Historical tours and learning experiences– Valley of the Kings, Sphinx, Giza, Nile River yacht tour and excavation site tour, Museum of Egypt.

Private excavation experience– Private excavation experience with Anthony Browder at the historical ASA Restoration Project site (priceless experience!)

Rites of Passage– Traditional rituals that will develop leadership skills, build confidence, foster fellowship, instill community service values and connect the girls with Nubian tradition.

Cultural Heritage African Tours

TWST4Girls’ ISL program will take place on July 16th through July 26th, 2020.
