Hey girls, ages 13–17—grab your sleeping bags! TWST4Girls is heading to Dinosaur Valley State Park for a weekend full of fun, friendship, and fearless adventure.

At Cyber Savvy, we'll equip teens with the knowledge and tools to stay safe, make smart decisions, and achieve success in the digital realm. Our expert speakers will cover a range of topics, including cybersecurity, online privacy, social media strategies, and much more.
The TWST4Girls Scholars Program is proud to host an engaging professional development workshop designed to equip our youth with the tools, confidence, and readiness to thrive in both college and career pathways.
This year, TWST4Girls is proud to launch our biggest HBCU College & History Tour yet—a transformative journey that combines higher education exploration, cultural heritage, and sisterhood. Over five days, our young women will travel across three states, visiting some of the nation’s most storied Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), along with landmark historical and cultural sites.

The Creative Table is a quarterly program within TWST4Girls designed to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring space where girls and their mentors can gather to explore creativity, discuss meaningful topics, and deepen networks and relationships. Each session combines art with conversation, empowering participants to reflect on life, friendships, school, careers, and current events while building confidence, resilience, and self-expression.
HBCU Tour participants meet for arts, crafts, and fellowship with their travel group.
Travelers will meet their chaperones, medical team, and TWST Sisters who will embark on a journey across the nation on this year’s College and History Tour!
This hands-on workshop, led by pro boxer Paisley Davis, is designed exclusively for teen girls to build confidence, strength, and practical self-defense skills through the art of boxing.
Participants will:

💪 Build physical strength and mental resilience
🧠 Discuss real-world safety scenarios and situational awareness
🌟 Tap into their inner power and redefine what it means to be both fierce and feminine
Session 1 (Parents) breaks down what ADHD is—especially how it can look in Black girls—while tackling stigma, navigating testing and supports, and building home routines that work.
Session 2 (Students) is an engaging, activity-based session that helps teens recognize their ADHD strengths and learn practical strategies like Pomodoro, body doubling, and simple planning hacks. Attendees leave with resource lists, step-by-step tools, and the confidence to advocate at school and at home.
Carmen Carter of Wired2Win will guide parents through the college funding process to maximize financial aid for college-bound students. Parents will gain valuable insight into acquiring endowment funds, scholarships, and grants for their future leaders.
This session will focus on the building blocks of financial empowerment, how to establish and maintain strong credit, along with an introduction to estate planning, which is the process of making plans to protect your assets, provide for your family, and pass on what you’ve built. Together, these tools provide families with the knowledge to create stability for future generations and move forward with long-term financial confidence.
For girls in K–12th grade, this creative program combines photography, collage, and writing to build confidence and explore self-expression. Girls will develop technical storytelling skills while learning about inspiring female photographers and documenting their own journeys.
Led by Attorney Terry P. Henderson of The Law Group of THP, this dynamic session will empower our teens with the knowledge they need to understand and protect their rights in everyday life.

Join TWST4Girls for Module 2 of our Financial Literacy Series, hosted by Thomas-Johns Consultancy. This virtual workshop is designed to teach teen girls how to confidently manage money through the smart use of savings and checking accounts.
Students will learn about the functions and benefits of savings and checking accounts, including how to use them effectively.

Houston Center for Photography Presents a TWST4Girls Exclusive: Girls’ Own Stories
This empowering program invites TWST4Girls youth to explore creative expression through photography, collage, mixed media, and writing. Designed to develop technical skills and storytelling abilities, participants will learn about the contributions of female photographers by viewing and discussing their work. They will create journals to reflect on their experiences and respond to prompts provided by the teaching artist, fostering self-awareness and confidence.
Join TWST4Girls for a powerful and elegant evening of culture, confidence, and connection as we attend The Tap Dance Kid at Houston’s iconic Ensemble Theatre. This inspiring production follows a ten-year-old African American girl who dreams of dancing on stage—despite the pressures to follow her father’s path as a lawyer. With rhythm, heart, and imagination, she dares to chase a dream all her own.
This exclusive night out is more than a play—it’s an opportunity to be Tapped In to your voice, your vision, and your worth.
TWST4Girls is proud to partner with The Woods Project to offer a transformative two-week summer leadership camping experience exclusively for high school girls (9th–12th grade). This immersive program takes place in the breathtaking wilderness of Olympic National Park and is designed to build leadership skills, confidence, and a deeper connection to nature.
Through this partnership, TWST4Girls participants receive access to this summer program which includes:

Our upcoming project will provide a group of Houston area youth with the opportunity to engage in international service, gain global awareness, and partake in cultural exchange opportunities during their summer break; 2025 takes us on a journey to Tanzania, where youth will engage in meaningful service beyond borders. The mission is to provide sustainable access to life-saving water, enhance the Tanzanian local community's language skills, literacy levels, and technological professional capabilities, mainly focusing on women and children.

The TWST4Girls Scholars Program is dedicated to empowering young women with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed academically and personally. During the information session, we will provide details on the program’s curriculum, mentorship opportunities, and the impact it can have on your educational journey.
Additionally, the HBCU Tour is an exciting opportunity to visit top Historically Black Colleges and Universities, offering an immersive experience to help students make informed decisions about their higher education choices. You'll hear about the exciting stops, including campus tours, college fairs, and exposure to the rich history and culture of HBCUs.
TWST4Girls is joining their newest partner “The Woods Project” for Weekend workshops and overnight camping trips, which are led by staff, teachers and volunteers, include environmental service projects, hiking, backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, biking and fishing in the national forests and park areas near Houston such as Huntsville and Brazos Bend State Parks. These activities are intended to improve confidence, self-reliance, and leadership skills while giving the students a preview of the challenges they will encounter during the summer program.
Join us for a fun and educational makeup class led by Dante! Learn light makeup techniques like skin care, shade matching, and how to enhance your natural beauty without feeling intimidated. Dante will also cover toxic substances to avoid, and how to embrace and love your natural skin tone.
The class will feature a "look and learn" format with face charts and a live demonstration. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during a Q&A session.

The TWST4Girls HBCU College and History Tour Spring 2025 is an exciting and immersive experience designed to expose participants to historically black colleges and universities' (HBCUs) rich history and vibrant culture. This year's tour, scheduled for March, will take participants on a memorable journey to iconic institutions and historic sites of Texas!
